Essential Oil of the Week - Lavender!

There are many varieties of Lavender!

Lavender essential oil can be pure or it can be a hybrid blend of many varieties of lavender.

Lavandula Augustifolia is the only Lavender essential oil that can be applied directly to the skin.

Where as Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia cineolifera) would be used in an inhaler and never on the skin.

Spike Lavender or Spanish Lavender has a high content of Camphor which can irritate the skin but it is great in an inhaler to clear a stuffy nose due to a cold!

Lavender Essential Oil has a wonderful floral & fruity aroma!
